Le problème des masterworks.. c'est que c'est cher.. ça sort assez lentement et en plus maintenant t'as les omnibus qui commencent à faire double emploi...
personnellement je suis captain marvel et warlock. sinon tu as le site marvelmasterworks (adresses dans le sliens @ en discussions) qui est très axé sur cette collection.(mais je suppose que tu dois connaitre) |

Si, si, j'ai la totalité des masterworks parus à l'exception du Thor 7 qui est paru mercredi mais ce n'est qu'une affaire de jours. J'ai commencé par les commander chez Déesse (je ne sais pas si le magasin existe toujours) au début des années 90, ils me les ont envoyés au fur et à mesure. Puis les parutions ont été très lentes, quelques masterworks en 2001 (FF, submariner...) et depuis 2003-2004 le rythme s'est accéléré jusqu'à atteindre 18 par an. En fait je ne nie pas que mon budget est de l'ordre de 150 euro à 200 euro par mois. J'ai commencé ma collection de comics avec le strange 76 (avec le captain Marvel de Starlin) et puis au fur et à mesure j'ai acheté tout ce qui paraissait en couleurs et en noir et blanc. En 1987 j'ai commencé à acheter les numéros américains parce que frustré par tous les numéros inédits en France et depuis quelques années je me suis spécialisé dans les éditions type masterworks, intégrale et je l'avoue même certains omnibus (Eternals, Devil dinosaur) et beaucoup d'Oversize pour avoir le must du récent (DD de Bendis, Suprème Power, toutes les séries ultimate). A l'intention de Virgule, je viens de lire le Captain Marvel 3 avec le plaisir de découvrir des épisodes inédits en France et de retrouver les dessins de Starlin (qui mieux que Starlin sait dépeindre la folie ??). Pour Warlock, le 1 avait l'avantage de définir le personnage mais bien évidemment j'attends impatiemment le 2 avec la saga Starlin que j'ai lu en NB dans Etranges Aventures il ya 20 ans. |

Oups je n'ai pas répondu à toutes les questions.
Aujourd'hui je me les procure par Internet sans avoir dans l'immédiat de fournisseurs exclusifs mais il est probable que je passe par Tales of Wonder de manière fixe prochainement. Coté préférences : Je ne nie pas que je suis un fan des fans de Kirby et pour moi les FF resteront toujours numéro 1 dans mon coeur aux cotés des Uncanny X-men des années 75-90. Mais j'adore aussi Avengers, le Thor de Kirby, Captain Marvel de Starlin, Nick et Sergent Fury et beaucoup d'autres, je suis moins Golden Age que j'achète surtout pour l'aspect historique (compréhension de l'évolution des personnages et surtout évolution de la société américaine en parrallèle). |
Je vais craquer sur les 2 Rawhide Kid. Ça fait un moment que j'en ai envie....

Rawhide Kid
Les aventures du Kid de Rawhide, j'avoue apprécier l'aspect exotique de l'ouest américain dessiné par Jack Kirby, dommage cependant que les histoires de l'époque soient en général courtes (6 à 8 pages)
Coté western je suis un fan du Lieutenant Blueberry de Giraud et du Comanche d'Hermann, les américains ne disaient-ils pas que les français étaient les meilleurs pour retranscrire l'ambiance Western de l'époque. |
Il ya eu quelques traductions des Rawhide Kid en France.
Dans les Silver Colt il me semble en noir et blanc et en petit format. La section Western de la Marvel était impressionnante. |

J'ignorais que Rawhide Kid avait été publié en France.
Pendant des années j'ai arpenté les brocantes à la recherche de BD en noir et blanc Marvel Comics et dans la catégorie Western le seul comics VF que j'ai trouvé, c'est Eclair 9 avec Kid Colt Outlaw. J'ai cherché dans le comic Guide Marvel en France et ils n'en font aucunement mention (ni même de l'Eclair 9 d'ailleurs). Le site comics VF n'est pas plus explicite d'ailleurs, ils citent Silver Colt sans préciser ni les séries parues ni les numéros. |

Alors dans le 2 il ya du Red Wolf, Du Kid Colt, de l'Apache Kid et du Rawhide Kid. Dans le 3 il n'y a pas de Rawhide mais à la place c'est Ringo Kid. |

Ne te trompe pas, tape dans les Siver Colt Spécial. Je ne sais pas combien de n° sont parus. 3 c'est certain.
Le Silver Colt "normal" ne publiait pas de matos Marvel. Il me semble que c'était des bandes Françaises ou Européennes. A vérifier quand même. |

En Octobre 2 nouveaux Masterworks
1 nouveau volume de l'ére Atlas : Journey into mystery 1 avec les 10 premiers numéros du magazine qui a vu les débuts de THor (numéro 83). Novembre 2008 : J'avoue que je l'attendais depuis longtemps, ce cinquième volume des rééditions d'Iron-man nous permet de revivre en couleurs les aventures publiées en France dans les premiers Strange (2 et suivants). Rappelons que le Strange 1 nous présentait Tales of Suspense 39 et pas Iron Man 1. Les Masterworks Golden age confirment leur montée en puissance puisqu'il s'agit du 4ème de l'année (un record). Bien évidemment le matériel est inédit en France. |

Quel est le type de jaquette de tes Masterworks : Limited ou Regular ? En ce qui me concerne, quand j'ai commencé, les Limited de l'époque étaient introuvables ou hors de prix. J'ai donc commencé par les Handcraft (je pense les avoir tous) Puis Marvel a ressorti les Masterworks soit en Limited, soit en Regular, mais plus en Handcraft :non: Comme sur les Limited, le N° du tome est imprimé, ce qui ne m'emballait pas car je savais que j'aurai des trous dans la numérotation et que j'ai horreur de ça :roll:, j'ai opté pour les Regular. Pas les plus beau, certes, mais ça reste homogène. Enfin, presque, car les deux premiers Regular, Spider-Man 2 et Sub-Mariner 1 sont légèrement différents : l'encadrement du N° de volume est différent (le fond n'est pas argenté), et le logo Marvel semble plus dense que ceux qui sortiront après. Enfin, passons... Personnellement, je regrette vraiment que Marvel n'ait pas continué les Handcraft : non seulement je les trouve réussis (notamment les Daredevil), mais ils reflètent parfaitement, à mon sens, l'esprit du "Comics". Dommage, dommage... |
Jaquettes
En fait jusqu'au 27 j'ai les limited puis pour DD 2, Thor 3 et FF 6 j'ai la version de jaquettes 2001 (j'ignore son nom, handcraft peut-être) et à partir de Submariner 1 j'ai opté pour la régular (au début j'ignorais que Marvel avait continué à les sortir en limited).
Il est certain que dans ma bibliothèque ce n'est pas très homogène mais je me voyais mal racheter les 30 premiers numéros en version regular (vu le prix des masterworks) d'autant que vendre mes exemplaires en France n'était guère aisé. |
Oui, idem pour moi, je ne savais que les Limited seraient reconduits...
Les Handcraft sont les versions très colorées, avec les inscriptions type "à main levé" d'un lettreur. Par exemple, pour DD, la jaquette est complètement rouge, pour les FF, elle est bleu ciel, pour Thor, elle est bleu foncé etc. En tout cas, c'est le nom que leur donne TOW. |

Donc je te confirme que j'ai bien les handcraft pour les 3 cités et un que j'ai oublié : X-Men 3 (jaquette jaune foncé).

Au départ, je ne collectionnais pas toutes les séries. Mais je deviens vraiment accro, et à part les Golden Age, il ne m'en manque pas beaucoup. Pour l'instant, j'ai fait l'impasse sur Hulk et Nick Fury (Steranko). Mais ce n'est que temporaire.
J'ai également Marvels 10th Anniversary Edition et Eternals Omnibus. J'hésite un peu concernant Devil Dinosaurs. Pas vraiment top... Chez DC, cela se limite pour l'instant à the 4th World (les 4 volumes) et Kamandi (les 2 volumes). J'attends avec impatience The Demon, mais DC n'a pas l'air pressé... Je pense un de ces quatre à acheter les oeuvres de Neal Adams (Green Lantern, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, Deadman, Batman) et peut-être le Green Lantern de Gil Kane. Je suis assez d'accord avec tes propos concernant les MM, qui permettent également de décrypter les Etats-Unis de cette époque. Comme je l'ai déjà dit, je suis passionné d'orgues Hammond, et je me suis constitué une importante collection de brochures et de documents techniques de l'époque (1937-1960), qui permettent de s'imprégner vraiment de l'American way of life. J'ai moi aussi acheté les 4 volumes "Fourth world" de DC et j'adorerais acheter OMAC, The Demon, et Kamandi mais ma priorité actuelle est surtout de ne plus faire ce que j'ai fait pendant 20 ans, acheter plus de Comics que je ne pouvais en lire. Je suis encore en train d'épuiser mes stocks des années 90 (en termes clairs lire des BD achetées il y a 15 ans).
C'est pourquoi je me limite aux masterworks, omnibus (non parus en masterworks), intégrale, des oversizes (mais pas tous) et je me fais quelques petits extras par moment (les archives Flash de Carmine Infantino, les Green Lantern...). En fait de limitation, je craque souvent j'ai aussi acheté les Conan Marvel et l'intégrale STAR WARS Marvel réédités par Dark Horse en TPB. |
A propos de Dark Horse, certains tomes de Next Men sont introuvables. Y a t-il une date de prévue pour une réédition éventuelle ?

Masterworks de décembre
Les rééditions continuent avec l'un des titres vedettes de la collection : The Avengers à qui on accorde un 8ème tome.

Les épisodes 69 à 77 sont parus dans "Les Vengeurs 3 à 5" collection Marvel super star au tout début de la tentative par l'éditeur de sortir des épisodes en couleur. Les épisodes 78-79 sont eux parus dans Thor 14 (collection Flash), ils sont donc inédits en France autrement qu'en noir et blanc petit format. Notons encore que la couverture chosie est la même que celle du Vengeurs 5 français. Encore un volume que j'attendais avec impatience ! |
