Synopsis : Taranto enrôle Groo dans la recherche d'un trésor enfoui dans une cité gardée par des hommes gorilles : les Kantors. Contre toute attente, il trouve le trésor (enfin presque).

Groo : "20 times you tried to have me killed !"
Taranto : "I have always tried to do right by you - my friend- with only occasionnal exceptions"
Groo : "What about the 20 times ?"
Taranto : "Those were the exceptions !"
