GROO the Wanderer #5, July 1985, Epic
"Slavers"
Sergio Aragones : Dessin / Mark Evanier:" Dialogist " / Tom Luth : Coloriste / Stan Sakai Lettreur
"Years ago, the one called Groo was shanghaied off to sea-
The boat, in thirty minutes, was a pile of debris.
The wanderer was picked up by a ship of awesome power-
Which made for awesome wreckage in a quarter of an hour.
And so it went as twenty ships(or maybe even more)-
Gave passage only to wind up upon the ocean floor.
If someday, you should take a cruise and chance to notice him-
The odds are you'd do better to jump overboard and swim."
Moral:
"Freedom is not an individual effort. Yours comes only when you grant others theirs."
Groo :" I was aboard a ship and it does not sink ! Not even a little !"
