Release Date Nov 4th, 2015

Not only does AMC have a successful track record with TV shows based on comic books -- specifically the massively successful "The Walking Dead," with "Preacher" on the way in 2016 -- the network has also gone in the opposite direction. In the past, AMC has released digital comics based on "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" -- and they're doing it again with upcoming martial arts series "Into the Badlands."

CBR has the exclusive first look at the initial three pages for AMC's three-issue "Into the Badlands" digital comic prequel, which debuts on the network's website today. Steve Ellis, who drew the "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" digital comics, illustrates the "Into the Badlands" prequel, which is written by Matt Okumura and Justin Noble, two of the show's writers. Leinil Yu illustrated the cover.

"Into the Badlands," created by "Smallville" veterans Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, premieres Sunday, Nov. 15 on AMC.
