SUPERMAN AND THE MISERABLE, ROTTEN, NO FUN, REALLY BAD DAY HC

Written by Dave Croatto, art and cover by Tom Richmond.
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's the worst day ever! It's a 100% UNauthorized children's book parody as only MAD Magazine can do it in Superman and the Miserable, Rotten, No Fun, Really Bad Day!
It's a day so terrible that only the Man of Steel could possibly hope to survive it! On this miserable, rotten, no fun, very bad day, Superman will face rampaging super-villains, angry editors, boring chores, a cranky Justice League and, worst of all, bad pizza. Superman's home planet, Krypton, exploded -- so he's no stranger to bad days -- but even so, this is one for the record books!
In this all-new story from the Usual Gang of Idiots at MAD Magazine (the same crew that brought you Goodnight, Batcave) the best-selling children's book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is parodied with the heroes and villains from the world of DC Comics' Superman!

AMERICAN WAY: THOSE ABOVE AND THOSE BELOW #2

Written by John Ridley, art and cover by Georges Jeanty.
The conflict with political radicals that took one man's life sits heavy with Jason. Accusations that, by continuing to be the superhero the American, he's become a pawn for the government have taken on a new sharpness as the Civil Rights movement of the 1970s gains an added urgency. This call to do what's right is one that his former ally Amber Waves has already answered by taking matters into her own hands and using her powers to protest injustice -- and she's already paying the deadly cost as the police and Federal agents attack her where she lives.
32 pages, $3.99, in stores on August 2.

ASTRO CITY #47

Written by Kurt Busiek, art by Mike Norton, cover by Alex Ross.

Do you see that handsome face? Also featuring Honor Guard, with guest art by Mike Norton.

EVERAFTER: FROM THE PAGES OF FABLES #12

Written by Dave Justus and Lilah Sturges, art by Travis Moore, cover by Tula Lotay.

Find out here, in our fateful -- and fatal -- final issue!

Cain has been murdering his way across New York City, and Abel has been one step behind him the whole time. As he and Kira take out the last of Black Forest's thugs, and get nearer to Cain himself, they can't help but think that maybe he's been luring them to exactly where he wants them -- which is far from where he'll end up causing the worst damage.

MISTER MIRACLE #1

Written by Tom King, art and variant cover by Mitch Gerads, cover by Nick Derington.

Using the stage alter ego of Mister Miracle, he has made a career for himself showing off his acrobatic escape techniques. He even caught the attention of the Justice League, which counted him among its ranks. You might say Scott Free has everything...so why isn't it enough? Mister Miracle has mastered every illusion, achieved every stunt, pulled off every trick -- except one. He has never escaped death. Is it even possible? Our hero is going to have to kill himself if he wants to find out.

Oui mais non. Reginald Hudlin sur Black Racer et Shilo Norman, ça me terrifie plutôt qu'autre chose.

THE HELLBLAZER #13

Written by Tim Seeley, art by Jesus Merino, cover by Tim Seeley, variant cover by Yasmine Putri.
"The Spirit Hunter," part one! Home from Paris, John gets in a drunken argument, has a terrible dream about a dead teenager, and then finds the corpse. Did someone use his imagination as a weapon, or has his distaste for humanity made him a murderer?
32 pages, $3.99, in stores on August 23.
