car je trouve que pas mal de séries s'essoufflent assez vite après un bon départ.
ajouté qu'en monthfly, image c'est pas la joie avec des retards permanent
Sans oublier les séries annoncées toujours pas sollicitées.

Ben, je pense que les auteurs sont responsables de tout ce qui concerne le côté créatif, donc s'il y a des retards, je pense qu'ils sont seuls à blâmer.

Personnellement, cette liberté qu'ont les auteurs de ne pas nécessairement toujours tenir les délais et de prendre le temps de sortir quelque chose qui ressemble vraiment à ce qu'ils veulent, ça fait partie des qualités que je porte au crédit d'Image.

Dans quelques années, pour les œuvres qui vont rester, qui se souviendra qu'il y a eu tel ou tel retard ? Personne.
Et qui profitera d'une œuvre aboutie telle que les auteurs l'ont voulue. Tous les lecteurs.
Perso, j'ai pas besoin de réfléchir longtemps pour voir où va ma préférence.

Et pour les titres annoncés mais pas encore sollicités, qu'est-ce qu'on s'en branle.
Ca sortira quand ça sortira.
Et ça sera pas moins bien parce que ça a été annoncé longtemps à l'avance.

Je pense comme zen sur le coup.

Peu m'importe les délais, du moment qu'il n'y a pas de fill-in.
La cohérence graphique est trop importante à mes yeux...

Promethea, planetary, top ten, ex machina ne sortaient pas tous les mois mais ça reste pourtant d 'excellentes séries... Chez les big two, on peut citer ultimates, astonishing x-men, inhumans par jae Lee, ...

Avouez que Batman: hush avec Tom grumett en fill-in (même si je ne suis pas fan de Jim Lee)

Mouais.... A ce moment là, tu ne qualifie pas ta série de MONTHLY et tu ne balances pas une date de précommande non plus.
ET là Zenita, tu parles de cinq ou six séries sur 20 ans. N'oublions pas que les retards peuvent être parfois complètement mortels pour une série

Exemple : Rising Stars (largement du même niveau que la moitié des séries ci-dessus) , on pourra aussi citer Battlechasers, Bullseye : Target, allez, je relance même d'un JUPITER LEGACY. Des séries qui font que le retard accumulé empêche la sortie de TPB et que le dessinateur/artiste passe finalement à autre chose.

Moi je suis pour qu'il y ait un éditeur qui remette ses artistes sur le rail. Ca n'a jamais (au grand jamais) empêché un truc de qualité de devenir médiocre quand l'éditeur est bon, bien au contraire. Les exemples de sagas qui ont connu des améliorations parce que l'éditeur avait imposé ou suggéré une autre idée sont légion.

En plus, votre raisonnement il marche pour des dessinateurs. Quand tu fais une série, que tu es scénariste et que tu accumules les retards au bout de deux ou trois numéros, ce n'est pas normal.

C'est sans doute pour cela que certains font des mini-séries successives avec des écarts entre chaque mini.
Le problème du monthly qui n'est pas monthly, ça fait surtout chier les retailers.

Encadrer le processus créatif (c'était la grande force du Vertigo de Karen Berger par rapport à ce que fait Image), ça n'a rien avoir avec le fait d'obliger des auteurs à tenir les délais.

Et franchement, quand tu vois chez les Big Two des numéros avec plusieurs encreurs, plusieurs dessinateurs sans autre raison que parce qu'il faut que ça sorte dans les temps, ou des fill-ins mal branlés,... juste pour que le lecteur reçoive sa pâtée du mois sans un seul jour de retard, moi, je préfère des gars qui font le truc à leur rythme mais que quand ça sort, c'est comme ça que ça devait être.

Chez Image, des titres comme (là, comme ça au débotté) Saga, Rat Queens, Peter Panzerfaust,... prennent des pauses pour permettre à leurs auteurs de sortir un produit de qualité.
Je pense que ce genre de démarches est appelée à se généraliser.
Et je trouve ça très positif.

D'autant plus que pour certaines séries, il suffirait d'arrêter de sortir plusieurs numéros par mois pour limiter les risques de fill-ins.
