We tracked it at a high sale of $225 for a raw copy and a current NM FMV of $190, nearly double in value compared to its ratio. #9: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #32 – ELIZABETH TORQUE – HOMAGE (1:50) | MARVEL | 2023 | Who doesn't love an incredible homage cover? This Elizabeth Torque 1:50 knocked it out of the park as it featured the fan-favorite Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider digging themselves from their own grave. Mike Zeck and Bob McLeod first did it in Web of Spider-Man #32 (featured on this list), which has gone down as a legendary cover in its own right. This book captured some of the love fans feel for it, but it's subsiding and solidifying, becoming a more affordable cover for those who want to add it to the PC. We tracked it at a high sale of $51 for a raw copy and an NM FMV of $45. It effectively sold half the copies as last week but maintains value with a slight dip here and there. #8: STAR WARS: HEIR TO THE EMPIRE #1 – NEWSSTAND | DARK HORSE | 1995 | This book comes down to preference. Being the newsstand copy of Grand Admiral Thrawn's first appearance, a certain group of collectors define this book as a must-have. It's rarer, as newsstand copies were well on their way toward extinction when this book was released, and it boasts a price tag to prove it. It routinely goes for nearly double when it hits the market, evidenced by the high sale of $1,642 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw VF FMV of $200. #7: WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #32 – DIRECT | MARVEL | 1987 | Dang, this book has acquired legendary status, with Mike Zeck channeling all his talents into this cover. It's been homaged by recent covers, like Ms. Torque's 1:50 variant, for good reason. It is also part of the Kraven's Last Hunt run, widely considered one of the greatest Spider-Man stories ever. Fitting it would boast such an epic cover to boot! And, while it's a coveted book for its art, it's incredibly affordable and attainable, evidenced by the high sale of $155 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a current raw FN FMV of $42. Just last week, a CGC 9.4 copy sold for around $60! #6: X-MEN #130 – NEWSSTAND | MARVEL | 1980 | Last week, this book sat firm at #3, while Dazzler's first solo title was at #2. This week, her solo book has moved to the #1 spot while this book has fallen. Now that the initial rumors have subsided a bit, less attention has been on this book. Part of that is the higher buy-in price and ease of attaining a copy worth having. But, with fanart like this floating around, fans are still paying attention to the first appearance of Dazzler! We are still waiting to receive confirmation that Taylor Swift will appear as Dazzler, but fans know that Taylor is family friends with Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds. That's led us to track it at a high sale of $375 for a CGC 9.4 and a current raw FN FMV of $93 as copies flood the market. #5: STAR WARS KANAN #6 | MARVEL | 2015 | While STAR WARS KANAN #1 was initially the money book, this book has overtaken it in market value. It features the first FULL appearance of Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren, obviously important players in ASHOKA. So far, we've gotten Sabine and are waiting on Ezra, but he has been confirmed to be played by Eman Esfandi, and the consensus is they NAILED the casting. Now, this book is seeing the attention that many in the community felt it has long deserved. We tracked it at a high sale of $340 for a CGC 9.8 and an NM raw FMV of $81. #4: STAR WARS KANAN #1 | MARVEL | 2015 | When we first see Ashoka in The Mandalorian, she mentions Grand Admiral Thrawn, and the community began to pay attention. Combine that with the confirmation Ashoka would be getting her series, and fans immediately zeroed in on this book, among others. Why? It features the first appearance of Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Kanan Jarrus. All essential characters to the Ashoka story fans were drying for. Now, they will be getting it, as it's been revealed through the first few episodes of ASHOKA what her mission is. That, and the canonization of Sabine Wren being the padawan to Ashoka. This book has since shot up on the priority list for most collectors. We tracked it at a high sale of $132 for a CGC 9.8 and a raw NM FMV of $38. #3: G'NORT'S ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT EDITION #1 – PABLO VILLALOBOS (1:25) | DC | 2023 | G'nort is your typical goofball. But what makes him different is that he is also a Green Lantern who got the opportunity to put together a swimsuit issue featuring some of our favorite DC heroes. This 1:25 book from Lobos was the pick of the litter, featuring Wonder Woman in all her Amazonian glory. Wonder Woman variant covers typically do quite well in the aftermarket; this book is no exception. We tracked it at a high sale of $80 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $68. #2: STAR WARS: HEIR TO THE EMPIRE #1 | DARK HORSE | 1995 | This book has been hot for months, ebbing and flowing as we grew closer to the release of ASHOKA. That's because Grand Admiral Thrawn was confirmed to appear. Then, we got the trailer, which showed him in live-action for the first time, and shot this book even higher. So far, we've only gotten a brief moment in Episode 2 of ASHOKA, revealing just how powerful Thrawn has become since he was last seen in STAR WARS: REBELS. He's now an extragalactic threat, one who could rival and surpass the biggest bad to date: Emperor Palpatine. Que the run on this book again, as many fans are listing their copies, with many more snagging them up. We tracked it at a high sale of $900 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw NM FMV of $166. #1: DAZZLER #1 | MARVEL | 1981 | While the Taylor Swift as Dazzler rumors still haven't been shot down, some hype has died down a bit. But, not enough to knock this book from this list! When the initial rumor that Taylor Swift may appear as Dazzler in Deadpool 3, fans scooped this book up in droves. Now, we are seeing a deluge of online fan art that maintains fan interest. It's the first Dazzler solo title and a much more affordable book when stacked against her first appearance and its higher price tag! With the fanart flowing, fans are even more capable of visualizing this epic fit of pop star to the fictional character, leading us to track it at a high sale of $195 for a CGC 9.8 and a current raw VF FMV of $10.

We tracked it at a high sale of $350 for a CGC 9.8 and an NM raw FMV of $102. #9: DAZZLER #1 | MARVEL | 1981 | Not so long ago, Dazzler's books were barely moving, even with some books in the dollar bin. When the pandemic hit, minor keys like this started going for a premium. This book took off slower than other books. That all changed a couple of weeks ago when the rumor that Taylor Swift may cameo as the mutant superstar. Although we have no information on whether this rumor is true, Taylor Swift has enough star power to launch this book into our top ten weekly. Don't believe that? Here's an example: Taylor Swift's recent movie, Eras Tour, broke the presales ticket record recently. This record was recently held by Spider-Man: No Way Home, the most financially successful MCU movie since Avengers: Endgame. Imagine for a moment if this is true and then a step further if Marvel recognizes the long-term potential in Ms. Swift. Do not underestimate what the Taylor Swift fans can accomplish! His debut in Across the Spider-Verse took him to the top spot. Since the movie release, 2099's first appearance has been swinging back and forth between our top ten and runner-up lists. This book has a long way to go before people lose complete interest. We tracked it at a high sale of $71 for a CGC 9.6 copy and a raw NM FMV of $18. #7: THE CROW: FLESH & BLOOD #1 | KITCHEN SINK; TOP DOLLAR COMICS | 1996 | The Crow film reboot has had a historically shaky journey. It's taken quite a while to get its footing. However, production has wrapped, and the film is scheduled to debut in 2024, despite the actors' and writers' strikes. Moreso, producer Sam Pressman is ramping up hype for the film. He stated that the film will "blow people's minds" and is an "anti-Marvel movie." Pressman alluded to this film being the beginning of a shared universe, possibly branching into video games and an animated series. With very little info to go on, one thing we know for sure is that the producer behind the film has high hopes that The Crow will be the birth of a new, expanded universe. Within that universe, there's speculation around Iris Shaw, another victim of death resurrected by the crow, being present in the new film. Her first appearance in this issue has been taking off! Since the end credits scene showed Tom Hardy's Venom leave behind a piece of the symbiote, fans have been anticipating the debut of this classic storyline. While the Avengers: Secret Wars movie may not adapt this particular storyline, yet it could be incorporated differently. There are no updates on the Secret Wars movie, but fans are still clamoring for a copy of this classic cover. We tracked it at a high sale of $650 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw VF FMV of $151. #5: ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 | MARVEL | 2011 | Miles Morales' first appearance has been making wild swings in the past few months. There are weeks where we speculate whether Miles Morales' heat will cool off, and then the following week, it lands on our top ten. Miles Morales is arguably the second most popular spider-variant in existence, and fans put their money where their mouth is when it comes to his first appearance. This book was an instant hit when it was released, and many believed the hype would go away as quickly as it appeared. Dazzler's first appearance has consistently remained in our top 10 lists. Since the rumor began, we have yet to have an official confirmation of whether this was true. In fact, director Shawn Levy shared that all the cameo rumors floating around may or may not be accurate. Levy is holding all the Deadpool 3 secrets as close to his chest as possible. We tracked it at a high sale of $150 for a raw copy and a current raw NM FMV of $112. #1: SPAWN #1 | IMAGE | 1992 | Three weeks ago, we covered the resurgence of SPAWN #1 sales. At that time, McFarlane used his SDCC panel to announce that Spawn would be debuting in one of the world's most popular video games. Although the name wasn't announced, last week, a data mine leak revealed a slew of new skins coming to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. Among those skins were Skeletor (He-Man), Alucard (Helsing), Ash (Evil Dead), and Spawn! Spawn debuting in the most popular game in the world is massive news for the character. You may think, "Yeah, she's dating Travis Kelce". You'd be correct, but other members of her posse included Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Director of Deadpool 3, Shawn Levy. While this is nowhere near confirmation, it will significantly fuel the fire. It will likely be a while before we get confirmation. So, buckle in, as it appears to be on an upward trajectory again! This book was relegated to the $5 and under bin for years, but no longer. It's a classic Superman story, following him through different points in life, narrated by those who affected him. Crafty creator extraordinaire James Gunn can do a lot with a story so full of heart. This book is all over, so keep your eyes peeled! #7: SPIDER-MAN 2099 #1 | MARVEL | 1992 | It's astounding to see Spider-Man 2099 still hitting this list so far removed from his major movie debut. There are numerous reasons behind that sustained success, like collectibility, being in a movie, being awesome, etc. Those factors have culminated in the momentum behind this book, with one of the most recent reasons, the "true" first appearance debate! We tracked it at a high sale of $175 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw NM FMV of $14. #6: NIGHT OF THE CADILLACS #1 – CVR A PRIOR | SCOUT COMICS | 2021 | Per the Hollywood Reporter, yet another deep-cut comic is receiving an adaptation. Ex Posse Studios and Scout Comics have teamed up with Sony to produce an adaptation featuring a member of a vampire gang running off with a human woman. That's the bare minimum you need to know, and we encourage you to dive down the rabbit hole-it's worth it. It's the arguable King of the Aftermarket, routinely selling well every year. It remains a cheap, plentiful, timeless key book that fans love to revisit. It already had hype before it dropped, which only increased as those who missed it at the LCS scoured the aftermarket. But fret not. A 2nd print is soon to hit shelves! We tracked it at a high sale of $29 for a raw copy and a current NM FMV of $23. #3: ALL-NEW WOLVERINE #1 | MARVEL | 2015 | We saw issue #2 spiking a few weeks ago, and now it's this book's turn! It's the debut of X-23 as Wolverine in the classic costume, and it's seeing a spike after another Deadpool 3 rumor hit the internet. It was reported that Marvel was working to bring Daphne Keen, X-23 from LOGAN, onto the project before the strike derailed talks. The strike is over, and fans eagerly await to know if that rumor is true. While they wait, they opted to hit the aftermarket in search of this book, as it's already been rumored there would be multiple cameos featuring Wolverine's from the Multiverse. Robert Kirkman is delivering, and fans are showing their continued support on the aftermarket! We tracked it at a high sale of $130 for a CGC 9.8 pre-sale copy and a current raw NM FMV of $65. #1: WOLVERINE #37 – GREG CAPULLO – VIRGIN (1 PER STORE) | MARVEL | 2023 | Greg Capullo is a legend in the community. He's delivered countless timeless covers, but few and far between for Marvel. He's back with a vengeance for this one per-store variant, and with the success issue #36 has been, this book looks to topple it. It's cooled slightly, as copies were snapped up from the aftermarket, but some are still willing to pay the price. If you're a fan of Wolverine or Capullo, this book has both in spades!
