STAR TREK: THE CLASSIC UK COMICS, VOL. 2

Various (W), Carlos Piño, Vicente Alcázar, John Stokes, Harold Johns (A), Carlos Piño, Vicente Alcázar (C)
This second volume fills in another major gap in Star Trek lore, courtesy of these never-before reprinted comics that originally appeared in weekly British magazines in the early 1970s. There's much to love about these wonky, way-out writings and their atypical artwork. These oft-forgotten Star Trek tales represent a different era. They're lost gems with many facets and a unique perspective, an eccentric corner of Star Trek history unlike any other. These are the U.K. voyages of the starship Enterprise -- and, now, at last, fans everywhere can experience them.
As a special bonus, Rich Handley provides the first half of a detailed encyclopedia of all things Star Trek from these British comics. Exploring the minutiae is half the fun of enjoying a franchise, and when it comes to Trek, there's no end of trivia to devour!

WALT DISNEY'S DONALD DUCK: THE SUNDAY NEWSPAPER COMICS, VOL. 2

Bob Karp (W), Al Taliaferro (A/C)
From deeper in the Disney Vaults, our second volume collects three more complete years of Sunday fun -- every color page from January 1943 through December 1945. By the end of the book, WWII is (literally) history and Donald, Daisy, and those incorrigible nephews find more than their share of joy -- and mayhem -- in Duckberg. Disney scholar Alberto Becattini provides an introduction that puts the strips in historical perspective, and tells us about George Waiss, who joined the creative team in 1943, taking on the inking chores over Al Taliaferro's pencils.
168 pages, $49.99.

Donald, and more bills for Uncle Scrooge McDuck, forever hauling his nephew's fat out of the fire! With extras for true Disney Comics aficionados, this collection provides hours of history and thrills. Collects issues #7-12.
256 pages, $29.99.
Tiens, il ne me semble pas l'avoir vu passer sur amazon... Va falloir que je check ça car c'est du Mine of course!
